What all can it do:

GUI based SECS-II (SEMI E5) Message Manager - Dynamically prepare SECS-II (SEMI E5) messages required by the factory host to communicate to the tools/equipments.
Extremely simple & time saving - very easy to use, no programming/scripting skills required
In place editing provided in the grid control - so you provide the data - exactly against the variable
The SECS-II notation generated displays the message along with the variable names (see figures below) - of high importance when message is being prepared, to avoid confusions/goof-ups
Can be easily customized for all SECS-II (SEMI E5) based message
Supports saving a SECS-II message - so you can fill it with data once, and invoke/send it any number of times

Allows nested lists (i.e. lists within lists) - especially for messages like S16F11, which have the PRPAUSEEVENT variable which can also be a list in itself (see Figure 5 below)!

Please see the appendix after my signature below, for screenshots - viz. Figure 1 displays a blank S2,F45 - while Figure 2 displays the S2,F45 with sample data. Figures 3, 4 & 5 display a complicated S16,F11 message with variations (substrate/carrier).

Seeing is believing:

Download the Tool/Equipment SECS-II (SEMI E5) Message Manager (GUI Based) demo application (from here) for your review (see screenshots of the app, embedded below). I assure you it does not contain any malware/adware/virus. You can run it through any utilities to check/verify it. If you face any problems with the downloaded ZIP file, please let me via e-mail - <nirav [at] enirav [dot] com>.

To run the application, you will need to extract the contents of the downloaded demo application ZIP file (contains 2 files only). The two files should get extracted in a folder named "TMM Demo". You need to run the application "ToolMessageManager.exe" and once the application has loaded, from the File menu -> select "Message Manager". I believe using the application from there, should be easy. Though, let me know if you need any assistance, or if you have any queries by e-mail to <nirav [at] enirav [dot] com>.

Please note: This is a simple application done to demonstrate the capabilities/features of the SECS-II Message Manager. The logging dialog (Message Viewer) has just been added to display the message sent by the main Message Manager dialog. The application fakes Device ID 1000 (for demonstration purpose) & provides only a few SECS-II (SEMI E5) messages.

I'd developed this application (using a simple technique for the GUI based messaging system) and now would like to provide the application (with source) - You can take it forward to use in any/all of your products. I can always be available for any assistance required with the source, or for integration with your products, or if you need further customization of the sources. The application is complete in all respects, but any additional features to enhance its capabilities can be added to extend it!
